
Malkangiri, 19/9/25: Today, a State Free School Independence Camp was organized at Basasahi Primary School of Padmagiri Retreat under Malkangiri Block by Malkangiri District Education Officer. Half of the children who dropped out were admitted to state free schools. More than 100 students, parents and teachers attended the camp and 60 students took admission. At the beginning of the program, Chief Guest District Education Officer Chittaranjan Manigarahi and Honorable Guest Manjulata Bhoi from Additional District Education Officers explained to the children and parents who had dropped out of school and how the parents should take care of them. Among the other guests, Additional Block Education Officer Gaurang Sajan informed about the purpose of the camp. Sandeep Das, District Coordinator of Free Schools, gave a detailed discussion about the various facilities and rules available in Free Schools. District Project Office Planning Coordinator Vijay Lakshmi Chowdhury, Piramal Foundation Member Vikas Kumar Gupta, Block Free School Coordinator Bishnu Prasad Subudhi were present and encouraged the children to take admission. The program was conducted by CRCC Jitendra Tripathi, Saroj Sahu, Janardhan Tandi.
