Malkangiri, 25/2/26: A district level sports competition has been organized by the Women and Child Welfare Department at Maliwant Hostel on the occasion of International Women’s Day-2026. Rajsab Vedbar Pradhan, Additional District Collector and District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Dasharthi Sarabu inaugurated the program. District level music, jhoti, kabaddi, kho-kho and running competitions were organized here. All project level competitions were organized in this event Out of these, the players who finished first in each game at the block level took part in the district level competition. The said game was conducted by physical sports teachers Suryakant Manigarahi, Ramakant Majhi, Kumari Khanjana Thakur. The winners will be felicitated on International Women’s Day at the district level The list will be provided to the state Additional District Social Welfare Officer Mamata Chowdhury, Program Officer Indira Pradhan and District Officer staff among others were present in the program under the patronage of District Social Welfare Officer Gauri Naik. District Coordinator Meenakshi Pradhan Manch conducted the event while the staff of District Women Empowerment Center assisted in conducting the programme. District Security Officer T.
