Baripada 23/12 (Fast News Odisha) On the occasion of National Farmer’s Day, a district-level awareness program related to Ashwagandha, a health-promoting drug, and its promotion and propagation has been held at Shyamakhunta Agricultural Science Center on behalf of Green Jackpot International with the help of the National Medicinal Plant Board of the Central Government and the State Government. Dr. Assistant Professor of North Odisha University in the program. Dr. Sudam Charan Sahu, Agricultural Meteorologist, Agricultural Science Research Center, Chief Guest. Jyoti Prakash Mishra, Senior Social Worker Gaurang Manigrahi joined as Honorary Speaker and said that Ashwagandha has many medicinal properties and it is a profitable crop for the farmers. The land and climate of many parts of Mayurbhanj district are very suitable for Ashwagandha cultivation. So Ashwagandha farmers must benefit, Aruth and the speakers suggested. The program was organized by social worker Engr. Hundreds of women and men farmers participated in the awareness program conducted by Kumar Karthik.
