
Lanjigarh, 15/3 ( ):- The police have achieved great success against the Maoists in Kalahandi district. In the presence of Odisha Police DG YB Khurania, 11 militants have surrendered to the police at the reserve police ground in Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi district. Information that all the Maoist clans belong to the Naganaya Division of Gumus. These Maoists, who have been associated with the Maoist organization for a long time, have finally come forward to leave the path of violence and return to the mainstream of society. They are said to have surrendered as a result of continuous combing operations by the police and the surrender policy of the government. With this, the lineage of the Naganaya Division of Gumus came to an end. It has been said that help will be provided to the surrendered Maoists as per the government’s rehabilitation policy. Currently, there are only 15 Maoists of KKBN (Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Budh, Nayagarh) division in Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Rayagada border, and Commander Sukru is among them.
