Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): The state level football championship has started from Wednesday, 2026 at the local Biju Patnaik mini stadium under the auspices of the Upakhand Sports Association in Baliguda, Kandhamal district. Grasindhu Behera, Tehsildar Pratham Prakash Behera, Vice President Satya Narayan Padhi, Editor Sushant Kumar Das were present and officially inaugurated by lighting the Deep Doom. The Udnighat game was held between FC Sambalpur and Diamond Club Khurda and Sambalbar won 4-1. Jyoti Ranjan Swayum, Vishwanath Kaher, Sunil Kumar Behera and Kamaksha Prasad Pradhan were present as the chief referees and officiated the game. On the 5th, the second day match between Dhenkanal and Sundergarh will be an interesting match. This state level match is being organized till the 11th of this month. Among the selected football teams of the state, Sambalpur FC, Diamond Club Khurda, Dosti Brother Sundergarh, Popular Club-Dhenkanal, USC Team – Bargarh, FPSA Team – Jatni, Jagga United – Bhubaneswar, J.D. Various teams such as club-football have agreed to participate. Among them, the most attractive women’s football match will be held between Bargarh and Bhubaneswar on the 10th. There are plans to attend the final and graduation ceremony on the 11th. Every day’s match is at 2:30 pm. The semi-final and final matches are scheduled to start at 2 pm.
