The grand celebration of history, heritage, folk art and culture of Nuapada district “Maraguda Folk Festival-2026” will be held grandly in the National College campus of Nuapada from April 1st to 5th. During the five-day long festival, cultural evenings will be held every evening, with renowned vocalists from the world of Ordained music entertaining the audience with their melodious voices. According to the schedule – 1st April (Day-1): Famous singer Bishnu Mohan Kavi, 2nd April (Day-2): Swayam Padhi, 3rd April (Day-3): Ananya Sritam Nand, 4th April (Day-4): Jayashree Dhal, 5th April (Day-5): Before the Umakant Barik Festival, artistes have invited the people of Nupada through a video message and requested them to participate in the festival in large numbers. Various interesting activities including folk art, cultural activities, handicraft exhibition and food fair will be organized on this occasion. The main objective of this festival is to promote the ancient heritage and folk culture of Maraguda region. The festival is being organized by the District Culture Council, District Administration, Nuapada and Odisha Language, Literature and Culture Department, Government of Odisha. There has been a lot of enthusiasm and interest in this folk festival among the people of the district.
