Baripada – 20/12/2025 The centenary celebration of the historic Brahma temple at Ward No. 10 under Baripada Municipality has been inaugurated under the chairmanship of the organizing committee, Maharaja Prabin Chandra Bhanjdeo. On the centenary of the Brahma Mandir, he highlighted its maintenance and also laid the foundation stone for the modernization of its environment courtesy of Baripada Municipality. Maharani Rashmi Rajyalakshmi Bhanjdeo as the distinguished guest and Mayor Krishnananda Mohanty, Deputy Mayor Sam Das and all the councilors as the guest of honor commemorated all the individuals who have maintained the Shatayu Temple. While Amitabh Mishra conducted the stage, Ranjan Banerjee, Chairman of the Temple Trust, coordinated the program. Amarendra Kar, Dean of Hyderabad Brahmo Samaj, Mayor Krishnananda Mohanty, Rajjema Mrinalika Bhanjdeo and Akshita Manjari Bhanjdeo were promoted. The souvenir was published under the supervision of Dr. Mohit Kumar Shadangi, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the Samantika Committee and with the support of E. Manas Sandangi, Ashish Besa, Monila Pal. Indrani Chatterjee recited Vedas while the students of MKC High School rendered welcome music. A seminar on “Shimilipal and Conservation of Environment” was held in the presence of Field Director, Shimilipal Tiger Conservation Dr. Prakash Goginani, Deputy Director Dr. Samrat Gaud, Vice President of District Environment Society Dr. Vijay Kumar Agarwal, Environmentalist Vivekananda Patnaik under the chairmanship of Dr. Debabrat Swamy.
