On 21st of November this Sunday morning, the demand for ST status in Mayurbhanj Sadar Mahkuma Baripada is strong, due to the death of Kudumi women state president Savita Mahanat and Odisha Kudumi state president Dibyasingh Mahanat, hundreds of women and men are present in Baripada and a demand letter has been given to Mayurbanj district mayor for ST status, it has been accepted by the Mahan government. He believes that he will be given ST status.
The erstwhile BJJ government kept them for a long time by showing them lollipops, as a result, this Kudumi society made the BJJ government face defeat. And the double engine of BJP fully supported the government. Therefore, the government has warned the government that Kudu Mi Sampraya should be given ST status, otherwise the agitation will intensify in the coming days.
