Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): A vehicle sensor alert system has been installed in Odisha’s longest Kalinga Ghati. For the first time in Odisha, this state-of-the-art system has been implemented. For the first time, IIT Bhubaneswar has installed this device on an experimental basis at Kalinga Ghati. Sensors have been installed at this place by IIT Bhubaneswar for the past few months but they have not been implemented. However, a team from IIT Bhubaneswar is installing a vehicle sensor alert device on a pole. It will be solar powered and autonomous, with sensors and cameras alerting at a height of 4 feet. It will inform the drivers to drive with caution at the place of the accident. It will be attached to two sides, which will flash the red light on the other side when the vehicle is on one side, so that the person coming on the other side or the driver will be notified or get the information that the vehicle is coming from the other front side and the driver will be careful. However, Transport Department Officer Shivani Majhi and team along with Ghu Udayagiri Police ASI Bulu Behera and team and National Highway Assistant Engineer Prashant Kumar Sahu and other engineers were present and assisted the officials who came to connect with IIT Bhubaneswar. The official from IIT Bhubaneswar said that this vehicle sensor alert system is being installed for the first time in the state at Kalinga Ghati. If it works well, it will be installed in other places in the coming days. Report by Sanjay Kumar Manigarahi from Kandhamal District, Fast News Odisha l
