Malkangari: 23/01, in MPV-26 village of Kalimela Banachala, a bear came out of the forest in search of food and fell into an open well. In the morning, the villagers found the bear lying in the well. When it was not possible to get the bear out of the well, the villagers informed the Kalimela forest officials in this regard. On being informed, forest officials rescued the bear safely from the well. After the rescue, the bear was examined by a veterinarian and is currently undergoing treatment. After treatment and observation are completed, the bear will be safely released into its natural habitat, it said. However, it is known that the bear came in search of food in the village last night but did not attack any people.
