Koraput, 11.9 () Governor Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati reviewed the implementation of various schemes in Koraput and Malkangari districts at the local Sadhavna assembly hall. Individual and collective forest land leases will be issued by the end of this year. Jal Jeevan Mission program has been ordered to be completed by the end of December 2026. He expressed hope that the construction of Bharatmala road will be completed by March 2026 next year, the distance between Koraput and Visakhapatna city will be reduced and people will be able to come and go easily. Koraput district has many facilities for the development of industry. Sitakund in Malkangari district and Deomali tourist spot in Koraput district are the major tourist areas of the state, Governor Haribabu Kambhampati said while talking to journalists. He said that he reviewed how the banks are working in the social security scheme. Governor’s Commissioner and Administrative Secretary Rupa Roshan Sahu, Koraput MLA Raghuram Fish, Pattangi MLA Ramachandra Kadam, Lakshmipur MLA Shalvi Samonta, Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, Malkangari MLA Narsingh Madkami, South West DIG Dr. KB Singh, Koraput District Magistrate Manoj Satyaban Mahajan, Malkangari District Magistrate Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, Koraput SP Rohit Barma, Malkangari SP Vinod Patil H and other departmental officers were present. Additional District Magistrate Tapan Kumar Naik, IAS Probationer Prasati Kumar Pan, District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Benudhar Shabar, District Planning and Monitoring Deputy Director Suryakant Behera, Koraput Vidyo Dekshisha Goud, Koraput Town Council Executive Officer Janjit Tripathi Major attended the event. Governor Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati returned to Bhubaneswar this afternoon after completing a four-day visit to Koraput and Malkangari.
