
Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): The Tikabali police have revealed the incident of the half-burnt body of a young man being found in the Chunpada Ghati forest under Tikabali police station in Baliguda sub-district of Kandhamal district. While it was clear that it was a premeditated murder, the police found out that the brutal murder took place under the suspicion of Gunigareddy. In this case, the police arrested 3 accused and re-created the scene at the scene. According to the information, the deceased Duryadhano Bagarti (35) of Khajuripada police station Khaliberana village was known as a storm blower in the village. The brother of the accused Prakash Hans died due to some reason less than 7 months ago. Suspicious of Duryodhana killing his own brother, Prakash and his associates were looking for an opportunity to take revenge. On the 4th last, when Duryodhan went out to buy chicken, he was attacked with fists by miscreants lurking on the street of Kaliberna PWD. Later, he went to destroy the evidence and took the body on a bike to the Chunghati forest. There, the accused brutally beheaded Duryodhana with a big stone, poured petrol from the bike and burnt the body. Tikabali police have arrested three persons involved in this incident from different places. The arrested accused are Prakash Hans (21) and Mukesh Hans (25), two sons of Babula Hans of Khajuripada police station, and Jitendra Guru (23), son of Pramod Guru of Nagirgudari village under Kanjhar panchayat of Tikabali police station, said G. Udayagiri SDPO Vijay Kumar Bishi and Tikabali police station officer K.R. Kar said in a press release that the accused have been arraigned under Sections 103(1), 3(9), 3 and 4 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). Due to the importance of the incident, a scientific team from Boudh came and assisted in the investigation. While the residents of the area praised the quick action and success of the police, there is a lot of talk in the local area about the murders due to superstitions like Gunigareddy.
