Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): A dead body of a youth has been recovered from Chunghati forest on Linepada-Pasara village road of Tikabali thana Chakkapad block in Baliguda sub-district of Kandhamal district. The deceased youth was identified as Duryodhan Bagarti (35) of Khajuripada police station R. Nuaga panchayat Khaliberna village. The incident has created a stir in the local area and it is suspected to be a premeditated murder. According to family sources, last Sunday, Duryodhan asked his father Dasharathi Bagarti for money to eat chicken. As his father did not have money, he suggested that he buy some grain-free chicken. Duryodhana went out of the house that evening after selling rice and bringing chicken to eat, but did not return. Even after searching for two days, no trace of Duryodhana was found. On Wednesday morning, locals informed the police after seeing a half-burnt body lying in the Chunighati forest. Tikabali police reached the spot and identified the dead body as that of Duryodhan. On the basis of the written complaint of the deceased’s father, Tikabali police have registered a case under Case No. 05/25. In view of the importance of the incident, a scientific team from Boudh reached the spot and started collecting various samples. According to Tikabali Police Station Officer Pragya Ritambar Kar, the body has been sent to Phulbali District General Hospital for post-mortem. Some suspects are being detained and interrogated in this case. Soon the mystery of the murder will be revealed. An atmosphere of fear has been created in the local area regarding this incident. Although the preliminary investigation of the police revealed that it was a murder case, the real reason for the murder is still unclear.
