
Malkangiri, 26/11/25: Constitution Day was celebrated today by the district administration. An awareness procession has been organized from the District Collector’s office to the District Council office to create awareness about the commitment and responsibility of the citizens towards the Indian Constitution. It was inaugurated by Additional District Magistrate Rajsab Vedbar by displaying the flag. The Constitution plays an important role in protecting the fundamental rights of the people of India. The Constitution guarantees fundamental rights. The Additional District Collector expressed his opinion in a program organized at the District Council office that it is a protection policy for fundamental rights. District Council Office Finance Manager Manas Mishra and Skill Development Program Manager Himanshu Bhushan Maharana briefed the students about the Tri-tier Panchayat Raj System and Pesa Law respectively. Rangoli and drawing competitions were organized here and the best students were awarded. Similarly, Constitution Day was celebrated at MV-7 Jagannathpally High School. District Education Officer attended the program as the chief guest while District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi, Additional District Education Officer Manjulta Bhoi, Bhagirathi Behera and Program Manager Skill Development Shri Maharana were present. In the presence of the students, the collective oath was recited and yoga was practiced. Baba Saheb Dr. BR Ambedkar was paid homage and remembered. However, on 26 November 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted. It later came into effect on 26 January 1950. So every year November 26 is celebrated as Constitution Day in India. Program manager Balaji Patnaik, Shavastika Pradhan, Shaswati Kirti Raut and all the staff of the district council office helped in organizing the program.
