This has benefited more than 51 lakh small and nomadic farmers, especially Scheduled Tribe farmers and landless farmer families in the state. This Farmer Welfare Scheme which was launched for the economic development of farmers, provides financial assistance to the farmers in two installments of Rs. On this occasion, a district level program has been organized by the District Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department today at the local Jilla Parishad conference room. The program was held under the chairmanship of District Governor Mr. Hem Kant Say. Honorable MLA Baripada Mr. Prakash Soren attended the program as the chief guest. attended. In the beginning, the program started by offering floral tributes to Lord Jagannath by all the invited guests. District Chief Agriculture Officer Mr. Vishan Ballabh Das delivered the welcome speech and gave his speech regarding the scheme. On this occasion, the chief guest said that today the amount of Rs. 2000 has been transferred by the Chief Minister through DBT to the bank accounts of more than 51 lakh farmers of the state. More than 51 lakh farmers in the state have benefited, while 3,47,954 farmers in Mayurrabhanj district have benefited. Through this scheme, the common farmers of our state are able to use this amount of assistance to alleviate the financial difficulties they face during farming. Apart from this scheme, Chief Minister Farmer Entrepreneurs Scheme, Chief Minister Kamdhenu Scheme, Scholarship in Agriculture Vidya Nidhi Scheme, Scholarship, Agricultural Loan Concession, Minimum Support Price of Paddy at Rs.200 per quintal and Input Support Amount of Rs.800, PM Kisan Aid etc. There are various farmer welfare schemes of both Central and State Governments by which the farmers are benefited and empowered. Other interesting guests also gave thoughtful comments on various aspects of the scheme and said about the merits of the scheme that farmers are the backbone of the country. So if farmers are empowered, the vision of developed India will be realized. Among the other invited guests, scientists, fisheries officers, soil conservation officers of the Agricultural Science Center were present and expressed their informed views on various aspects of the departmental plan. Assistant Agriculture Director Madhusmita Jena, Assistant Agriculture Officer Ramya Ranjan Mahanth, Tusar Kant Mohanty of the office, Manas Ranjan Mohanty, Rajaram Sahu Kanta Pothal participated in the program under the supervision of the District Chief Agricultural Officer. In the end, the District Governor expressed his thanks. The program was attended by hundreds of farmers and beneficiaries from different blocks, including departmental officers of the agriculture department from different blocks of the district.
