Nuapada: A two-day Junior Red Cross Camp has been organized at Local Government Girls High School, Nuapada at the expense of District Education Office, Nuapada. District Education Officer Dr. Prashant Kumar Mohanty presided over the meeting organized by MLA Nuapada Mr. Jay Dholakia as the chief guest and appealed to the children to be disciplined and inculcate the spirit of service. He also asked everyone to make small donations to further strengthen the District Red Cross Fund. Among others, Proktan Chairman Mr. Shiv Prasad Behera DAV Titilagarh, Additional District Education Officer Sudshanshu Shekhar Mishra, District Science Inspector Girihari Sa, Nuapada Block Chairperson Ms. Thareshwari Sahu, District Sports Officer Mr. Rajendra Prasad Makanlei, District Public Relations Officer Mr. Vidyapati Panda, District Physical Education Officer Ratan Singh Barik, School Principal Madhusudan Sahu, Golap Sahu was chiefly present and awarded the winners of various competitions. On this occasion, a two-minute silent prayer was offered in memory of the martyrs. Kishore Kumar Parida, a teacher who donated blood 98 times, was honored and 20 blood donors who donated blood voluntarily were given certificates. Teacher Sankarshan Purohit and teacher Pragya Paramita managed the stage. Junior Red Cross Officer Jaydev Behera, all Junior Red Cross Counselors of the district, trainers, school and in-charge teachers, teachers actively contributed in the successful organization of the program. Finally, Mr. Sahu gave vote of thanks.
