An awareness program has been held in Melkundel village under Rampur Sadar block of Thuamul Rampur block of Kalahandi district in collaboration with District Labor Department and Shakti Organization. On this occasion Shri Sanatan Majhi, Assistant Labor Officer of NORLA, Shri Sujit Seth, District Co-ordinator of Shakti Organization attended. Villagers of Pindapadar and Guchiguda along with Melkundel were present in this program. Manchasin Labor Officer Mr. Majhi informed about the various welfare schemes of the government intended for the welfare of the workers. District Labor Department informed about how to get financial assistance for children’s education, marriage, and accident and death of workers from the families of registered workers. Similarly, the District Coordinator of Shakti Organization Mr. Sujit Seth emphasized on the rights of children. Raised public awareness on child labor and child marriage.
