
Malkangiri, 3/9/25: District Magistrate Somesh Kumar Upadhyay has created a unique tradition. The District Governor himself has reached the village of Champa Raspeda, who is going to be the first doctor of the primitive Didayi tribe. On hearing the news of reaching the village of Champa, the District Collector himself went to the residence of Ambalibeda Village, Korukunda Block, Nakamamudi Village Panchayat, and greeted him. Champa is going to be the first doctor of the tribal community. This is a matter of glory for our district Malkangari and everyone, said the District Collector. The District Governor has promoted Champa to serve his district as a doctor. In addition, the District Governor has shown the way to Champa to serve his region and society with the aim of becoming a specialist doctor in the coming days. On this occasion, the District Governor inquired about the education and net preparation of Champa’s schools and colleges. His success will inspire many tribal students and all categories of students, said the District Collector. On this occasion, the District Collector came to know that there are many highly educated youths in the said village. Ambalbeda village has produced a doctor. Therefore, the District Governor has ordered to provide the basic needs of that village such as drinking water supply, roads, electricity, housing works on a priority basis. A wave of happiness played in the minds of the villagers to find the District Collector. Champa said that the goal is to serve the people and the region by becoming a doctor. On this occasion, the District Governor congratulated Champa and gave flowers, Uttariya, an Android mobile, clothes and Rs. When the District Magistrate came to know that Champa had to face difficulty in reading due to mobile problem. Therefore, the District Governor himself has provided a mobile set for a bright future. Medical textbooks cost more. Therefore, the District Collector has given an amount of Rs. Champa’s parents and villagers were present on this occasion. During this visit, the District Collector heard the complaints of the villagers of Ambalibeda and Byapada. The District Magistrate has revealed that there are all facilities for cashew cultivation in Ambalbeda village. For this he asked to start a cashew processing unit through the Integrated Tribal Development Organization. So that the educated young men and women of that village can get employment and become self-reliant, said the District Collector. It has been asked to arrange dog wells to solve the problem of drinking water supply. The District Collector has directed the departmental officials to ensure that more and more tribal people are provided accommodation. The District Magistrate has warned the villagers to keep their surroundings clean. On behalf of the District Tribal Development Department, Project Administrator of the Tribal Development Organization, Haldhar Shabar, District Social Welfare Officer, Srinivas Achari, District Information and Public Relations Officer, Pramila Majhi, Korkunda Tribal Development Officer, Amirya Sahu, Dedayi Development Organization Project Manager and other departmental officials were present.
