Baripada: On 19-11-2025 today at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the PM Kisan Honorary Fund ceremony in a grand atmosphere through virtual media. On this occasion Hon’ble Prime Minister released the 21st installment of PM Kisan Yojana to the bank accounts of the farmers through virtual mode. This Farmer Welfare Scheme, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019 for the economic development of farmers, provides financial assistance to farmers in three installments of Rs. On this occasion, the state level function was organized today at Prashik Bhawan Auditorium, Bhubaneswar, while the district level program was organized in the conference hall of Shyamakhunta Agricultural Science Center in the joint venture of District Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department and Agricultural Science Centre. Hon’ble Baripada MLA Mr. Prakash Soren attended the program as the chief guest while Hon’ble Vidayika, Bangiriposhi’s sister Sanchali Murmu and District Council Chairperson, Ms. Bharti Hasda attended as the guest of honor. The program started by offering floral tributes to Lord Jagannath by all the invited guests.Senior Scientist of Shyamakhunta Agricultural Science Centre, Mrs. Sangamitra Patnaik gave the welcome speech and gave her speech regarding the scheme. On this occasion, the chief guest Mr. Soren said that today the amount of Rs. 2000 each has been transferred to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers of the country by the Prime Minister through their bank accounts. In this series, more than 34 lakh farmers of our state have benefited, while 2,37,712 farmers have benefited from Mayurrabhanj district. Through this scheme, the common farmers of our country are able to use this amount of assistance to alleviate the financial difficulties they face during farming to some extent. Apart from these schemes, both the Central and State Governments have many other schemes to empower the farmers through which the farmers are benefiting. Other invited guests also expressed their thoughtful views on various aspects of the scheme. District Chief Agriculture Officer Loknath Mishra participated in the program held under the supervision of Horticulture Deputy Director Tankhar Kalo, while Assistant Agriculture Director Madhusmita Jena, Assistant Agriculture Officer Ramya Ranjan Mahanth, Archana Rila and Tusar Kant Mohanty, Manas Ranjan Mohanty, Saroj Das, Rajaram Sahu and Hachashree Mahapatra of the office assisted in the management of the programme. The program was attended by hundreds of farmers from different blocks, including departmental officers of the agriculture department from different blocks of the district.
