
Baripada – 22/03/2026 7th Annual Baripada National Tribal Minority Film Festival organized by Santali Art and Film Development Foundation and in collaboration with NFDC at local Martyr’s Memorial Hall has been announced as Best Original Motion Picture Fire On Edge (Assam), 2nd Best as Goat, Fish, Special Award to Snake Sparrow (West Bengal), 3rd Best to Dheeraj Kashyap Molai (Assam) and The Art of Babyola (Odisha) and Best Director to Sujit Dev Burma (Assam), Falguni Bhakta (West Bengal) Best Female Producer and Director to Puise Dare (Oshadi), 2nd Best Kachichinhath (Assam), 3rd best for Dividha (Odisha) and Breaking Barrier (Odisha) and Shyam Sundar Murmu (Odisha) Best Actor, Khushi Tudu (Odisha) Best Actress, Kahnoo Kiosk (Odisha) Best Child Artist, Ramesh Kumar Hembram (Odisha) Director, Rajesh Kumar Murmu (Odisha) Best Editor Cinematographer, Rajmohan Soren’s Hende Sona (Odisha) has been awarded the Best Story, Kahnoo Tudu (Odisha) has been awarded the Best Sound Coordinator I Former Minister and Chief Patron Sarojini Hembram was the Chief Guest and presented the award I Among others Poornachandra Hembram, former CGM of Power Finance Corporation Ltd. Santali Cinema Producer was the guest of honor. Poornima Tudu, Social Worker Phulmani Hembram, Eminent businessman Dighi Murmu Marndi, CDP O Bitu Tudu, Kahnii Charan Tudu, Jury Member Mansingh Majhi, Dr. Ramachandra Murmu, Deepak Kumar Soren, Kandan Majhi, Niharika Soren, Sneha Mundari, Krishna Soren and Niranjan Kujur were the main founders of the Foundation. Deepak Kumar Beshra thanked everyone for the festival. On the second day, 7 short films and 5 authentic films were screened, media coordinator Somnath Singh said.
