Baripada: Anti-Corruption Awareness Week-2025 is being observed from 27th October to 2nd November this year under the theme “Anti-Corruption – Our Collective Responsibility”. On this occasion, an “Oath Reading” program has been organized under the chairmanship of Additional District Collector Mr. Dukhbandhu Naik in the conference room of the District Collector’s office today. In the said event, Additional District Collector Mr. Naik recited the “Oath of Honesty” to various officials, Deputy District Collectors, Assistant District Collectors and other employees on the first day of Anti-Corruption Awareness Week. On the occasion, Mr. Nayak advised all the government employees to be absolutely careful to maintain honesty and integrity while performing their duties in their respective workplaces and asserted that it is only through collective efforts that corruption can be eradicated. He further said that corruption is a disease that damages one’s personal life as well as social life in such a way that it is very painful. Therefore, he said that one should always avoid the perverse mentality of accepting and giving bribes while giving services. He opined that public trust in the government system will be improved if corruption is avoided in the performance of work and services are provided to the people in an expedited process within the stipulated time without causing any kind of harassment to the people during the provision of services. Baripada Bankhand Officer, Baripada Tahsildar, Municipal Executive Officer, Emergency Officer, DEGM Oswan, Deputy Collector General Miss, District Social Security Officer, Child Protection Officer, Deputy Collector Revenue, Deputy Collector Elections, Deputy Collector Establishment, Assistant District Administrator, R.T.O. Officers and employees of various departments, including Chief Baripada, District Information and Public Relations Officer, were present and took part in the swearing-in ceremony.
