Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): The police has located a local gun factory in Pangapaju village of Katringia panchayat of Gochrapada police station of Kandhamal district. Three country-made guns and one pistol along with construction equipment were also seized from the spot. Banchanidhi Bindhani of Katringia Panchayat Pangapaju village has been arrested by the police in this case. According to the information, while the police patrolling was going on on Wednesday morning, the police received information from a reliable source that there was a local gun manufacturing factory in the area. On the basis of information, a raid was conducted at Banchanidhi’s house under the leadership of SI Anant Kumar Pradhan. The police found that the domestic gun was being made inside the house. Guns and other items were seized from the spot and Banchanidhi was arrested. The police have found out that he has been making such guns for many days and selling them in the nearby area. The gun was usually used for hunting, police said. On the contrary, Kandhamal SP Harish BC has revealed in the press conference that there is already such a case in Gochrapada police station in the name of Banchanidhi. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, Sadar’s SDPO Lahanjit Viswal informed.
