
Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 24.02.2026 Rikh: A planning related capacity building workshop under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) program has been organized today at Glaze Hotel & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. Chanoriaguda located in Nabarangpur city! This workshop was organized by Directorate of Export Promotion & Marketing (DEPM), Odisha, Bhubaneswar! At the beginning of the program, GM, DIC, Nabarangpur gave a welcome speech by Deepak Kumar Agarwal! He mentioned the importance of capacity building to improve the MSME sector in the district! In order to increase the participation of local micro and small entrepreneurs in government procurement, he discussed in detail about the procurement preference policy! As the chief guest, District Collector Nabarangpur, Dr. Maheshwar, mentioned the importance of RAMP scheme and said that it will be possible to employ many people as soon as the MSME sector improves! He called on local entrepreneurs to take maximum advantage of government planning and procurement processes through coordination and active collaboration between various departments. Then in the practical session, buyer and seller sessions related to Government e-Marketplace (GeM) were organized! In the buyer session GeM Introduction, Buyer Registration (Primary & Secondary User), Direct Purchase, L-1 Purchase, Bid Creation and other processes were discussed! The seller session provided guidance on seller registration, profile updates and catalog management! This session was conducted by Training Management Consultant Anand Kishore Mishra! Finally, the technical officer of the Directorate of Export Promotion & Marketing, Raj Prasad Padhi, expressed his gratitude! In this workshop, government officials from various departments, industry union representatives and MSME entrepreneurs of the district actively participated! The program is expected to improve the MSME sector in the district and increase expertise and efficiency in the government procurement system.
