Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 09/03/2025: The 8th general meeting of the 6th district council has been held under the chairmanship of the district council chairman Motiram Naik in the local district council conference hall. In this meeting, Hon’ble Minister of School and Public Education Nityananda Gond, Hon’ble MP (Lok Sabha) Balbhadra Majhi, Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha) Mujibulla Shaw, Hon’ble MLA of Dabu village Manohar. Ranhari, Honorable MLA Nabarangpur Gauri Shankar Majhi, Honorable MLA Jhari Village Narsingh Bhatra, District President Maheshwar Swayam, District Council Vice President Lipika Baroi, District Council Chief Development Officer Biranchi Narayan Darwan were the main speakers! The District Governor welcomed all the public representatives, civil servants and officers and spoke about the successful discussion in the District Council meeting! In the meeting, 26 District Council members and 10 Panchayat Samiti chairpersons of Nabarangpur district attended and asked questions to the departmental officers present about various problems and difficulties in their area, information on improvement work, and complaints! In the meeting, the officials of health and family welfare department, rural drinking water and sanitation, food supply and camp welfare, school and public education, agriculture, women and child development, rural construction, scheduled caste and tribe, unemployment, electricity, district social security, etc., answered the questions of the public representative! According to the information in the house, all the medicines are provided free of charge by the health department in the district! In addition to this, 40 primary health centers and 169 sub health centers are organizing Ayushman Health Healing Camps every month in the Ayushman Healing Temple! MLA Manohar Ranhari of Dabu village asked the Chief Health Officer to focus on ensuring that every person gets an Ayushman health card and that the health center does not stock any medicines that expire soon! According to the information of rural drinking water department, 18822 tube wells, 514 solar powered water supply projects and 405 piped water supply projects are working in 855 pada villages out of 189 panchayats of the district. District councilors in different villages are not repairing the wells on time and asked them to pay special attention to the pipeline system from house to house! According to the data of the food supply department, 3,14,936 ration cards 1049779 beneficiaries in the district have been included in the food security law 2013! According to the data of the School and Public Education Department, 1965 public and private educational institutions have been established in the district at the primary and secondary levels! The MLA complained about the quality and corruption of clothes made and supplied to Dabu village school students and asked the Baku Education Officer to investigate it! On the application of excessive fertilizers in maize cultivation, MP Balabhadra Majhi asked the Chief Agriculture Officer to record the total agricultural land of registered farmers and supply fertilizers accordingly, except for authorized traders and illegal fertilizer storage and sale centers! Kishan card has been distributed to 97335 people in the district by cooperative department by 30.08.2025! The district council members requested the administration to prevent corruption in the supply of fertilizers in Lamps! According to the data of the district social security department, a total of 50801 Indira Gandhi National Old Age Allowance, 17130 Indira Gandhi National Widow Allowance, 2653 Indira Gandhi National Disability Allowance and Madhubabu Pension Yojana 88484 people are included! According to the data of the electricity department, 872 villages have been electrified in the Biju rural electrification scheme in the district!
