Malkangiri, 10/2/26: Safer Internet Day was celebrated at the District Council conference room. Additional District Collector (Revenue) attended the program as the chief guest and senior officers of various departments of the district including Deputy District Collectors and students from various schools were present. On this occasion, the theme of this year was Smart Tech, Safe Choices – Enabling the Safe and Responsible Use of AI. District Information Science Officer and District e-Governance Manager were present and explained the purpose of the day to the students and guests. In his speech on the careful investment of Artificial Intelligence, the District e-Governance Manager said that in today’s digital age, we all need to be aware, responsible and secure digital citizens. In particular, he highlighted how AI or artificial intelligence can be used intelligently and safely. On the other hand, the District Informatics Officer discussed in detail the various advantages and disadvantages of using AI. He advised the students on how to avoid cyber crime by safe use of internet. Ultimately, the program was very helpful in creating digital awareness among the students.
