National Deworming Day February Round-2026 has been inaugurated in Govt Girls High School, Nuapada Sadar. Every year on February 10, National Deworming Day is celebrated across the country, the main objective of which is to keep children and adolescents healthy by keeping them safe from deworming. Al Bendazal medicine has been distributed and consumed collectively in all the school Anganwadi Centers of the district. At the beginning of the program, District Project Manager, National Health Mission Satyanarayan Tripathi welcomed everyone and highlighted the importance of this day. Later, the guests inaugurated the program by serving Al Bendazal tablets to hundreds of students of the school. The guests addressed the students and said that if there is no worm infection, the children are physically and mentally healthy, can pay attention to their studies and avoid the problems of malnutrition. They noted that some simple, daily practices are essential for worm control. Similarly, he advised the students to always use the toilet without defecating in the open, keep their environment clean and tidy, wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly with clean water, always drink clean water, keep their nails clean and short, use slippers and wash their hands with soap before eating and after using the toilet. District Chief Health Officer Dr. Dwarikanath Satpathy, Additional Public Health Officer (Family Welfare) Dr. Jyotirmaya Subendu Mohanty, Additional Public Health Officer (Leprosy) Dr. Tanmay Satpathy and District Information and Public Relations Officer Shri Vidyapati Panda were the chief guests.
