
Nuapada: The monthly review meeting of the unemployment department has been held under the chairmanship of Nuapada District Collector Madhusudan Das. In the meeting, the revenue collection, promotion activities and the performance of the unemployment department staff were discussed. The district governor addressed the meeting and said that the operation of the state unemployment department started last month. Principal, Excise Inspector Hirabati Tharti, Somnath Bagh, Excise Deputy Inspector Sahala Padhi, Alek Putel, Siddhant Pan, Mangal Chatria and other Excise officers and employees were prominently present. The review revealed that 13 vacancies out of 46 different posts in the department are causing problems in day-to-day operations. There are 98 licensed liquor shops in the district. By the end of August this year, 821 cases have been investigated and 533 cases have been registered against 328 people have been forwarded to court. The wheeled vehicle has been confiscated. The district has ranked first in the state in terms of the percentage of bringing illegal drug dealers to court. The department will work hard to find out how criminals will be convicted and jailed. In the coming days, officers who perform well will be rewarded and disciplinary action will be taken for poor performance.
