On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, District Level International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated at the Nuapada Police Ground. Later, a special meeting was held under the chairmanship of the District Collector at 11:00. In the said meeting, Lok Sabha member representative Prem Agarwal, local MLA representative Ramlal Hans, District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dhaneshwar Sethi, Deputy District Collector Surmi Soren, District Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua, District Social Security Officer Anant Hembram, Sub-District Social Security Officer Smreekha Nand and various district level officials participated in the meeting. Only 600 Dibang brothers and sisters from every corner of the district were present in the meeting. In the said meeting, the district governor and the guests discussed the problems of the Dibang brothers and sisters and gave deliberate votes in relation to its solution. On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the contestants for the various competitions held earlier. The amount of various assistance received from the department was also distributed to the beneficiaries. A cultural program was held at the end.
