
The review meeting of the District Urban Development Agency (District Urban Development Agency) has been held in the conference room of Nuapada District Collector Madhusudan Das. The meeting held a detailed discussion on the future course of action along with review of the performance of the three notified area councils of the district – Nuapada, Khadiyal and Khariar Road. District Chief Development Officer and Duda Project Director Lambodar Dharua presented the work of NACs. Revenue targets and collections for the financial year 2025-26 were reviewed. Kharia NAC has achieved 93.76 percent success in holding tax collection, while Nuapada has achieved 73.73 percent and Kharia Road has achieved 74.50 percent success. Municipal property rent, business license, advertisement revenue, user fee and revenue collection from other sources were also reviewed. Solid waste management, Pradhan Mantri Abas Yojana (Nagar), Building Approval System and implementation of Chief Minister Urban Development Yojana (MSBY) were discussed in detail. The District Governor directed to ensure 100 percent collection of holding tax, proper utilization of sanctioned funds and completion of all residential houses by the end of next March. All NACs were also directed to purchase mobile toilets in view of the crowd during the festival. The District Governor gave importance to the executive officers to increase revenue from various sources and speed up the beautification of the cities and provide all the facilities of urban civilization to the citizens. The meeting was attended by Sandeep Kumar Chandrakar, executive officer of Nuapada NAC, Swatchan Maharana, executive officer of Khadial NAC, Kamalasan Rath, executive officer of Khariyar Road NAC, and other relevant officials of various departments.
