Nuapada: The 21st Scientific Advisory Committee meeting was successfully organized by Agricultural Science Center (Fast News Odisha) Nuapada on 19.01.2026. In this virtual meeting, Professor Prasanajit Mishra, Dean, Extension Education Institute, OUT, Bhubaneswar attended as the President. Prof. Sumant Kumar Mishra, Department of Animal Husbandry, College of Animal Health and Animal Husbandry, Bhubaneswar, Prof. Uma Shankar Naik, Associate Director (Research) and Dr. Sanath Kumar Dwivedi, Joint Director, Extension Education Department, OUT, Bhubaneswar was present. In addition to this, the heads and representatives of all the district level agriculture and related departments, representatives of voluntary organizations and FPOs and progressive farmers of Nuapada district attended the meeting and actively participated in the discussion. Dr. Dr. Samal Kumar Mandal and co-research director Dr. Bhavani Shankar Naik, Regional Agricultural Research and Technology Extension Centre, Bhavanipatna also participated in the meeting through online. Shri Lob Soren, Senior Scientist and Head, Agricultural Science Centre, Nuapada, presented the work plan for Rabi 2024-25, Kharif 2025-26. In addition, a detailed discussion was held about the proposed action plan for the year 2026-27. He emphasized on how enterprise-based farming can be done through various agricultural technologies and techniques for the betterment of the farming community in Nuapada district. Many valuable suggestions regarding agricultural technology and agricultural practices were received from the meeting. All the staff of Agriculture Science Centre, Nuapada contributed to make the meeting a smooth success. Finally, after the President’s conclusion, Dr. Govind Chandra Sahu, Soil Scientist, declared the meeting over with a vote of thanks.
