
Nuapada: Under the chairmanship of Nuapada District Magistrate Madhusudan Dash, a review meeting of the work of the Women and Child Development Department under the District Social Welfare Department was held in the conference room of the district headquarters. The meeting was chaired by District Social Welfare Officer Sangita Pote. In this meeting, Deputy District Commissioner Surmi Soren, security officer, all program officers, all CDPOs, supervisors and departmental staff attended the meeting. The development department is taking all measures l The district governor expressed his displeasure as 4 mothers and 18 children died in the district in the month of August l The review revealed that there are 1408 Anganwadi centers in the district l Out of which 1188 centers have their own houses l In the district 165631 women in the first tranche of Subhadra scheme, 16404 in the second tranche and 15409 women in the third tranche have received support under the subdra scheme l More than 5000 migrant family workers from the district The department will work as a bridge to involve them in the various public welfare schemes of the government by conducting a complete survey of them since the last year.
