
A review meeting of the Livestock Development Department was held under the chairmanship of Nuapada District Magistrate Madhusudan Das. District Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Sukendu Rai presented the work and progress of the department. Earning Rs 1 Lakh per year by earning money and selling dung. Sulil Harijan, a farmer of Dumjhar village in Boden Block, has raised 2,000 chickens and has become a self-employed person earning more than Rs 50,000 per month. Nand Lal Nag of Mahara Village, Khadiayal Block, used to go to another state to work as a dental worker for Pet Patna. Coming from the general level of the society, with the help of animal resources department and their hard work, one can become a successful farmer to support his family and also provide employment opportunities to others. Adding to them, the district governor said that by this, other farmers in the district will also be inspired and encouraged.
