“World AIDS Day” has been celebrated in Nuapada District National College in collaboration with Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club and National Service Scheme. On this occasion, an awareness rally led by District Youth Red Cross Host-Editor Shiv Prasad Sa, Youth Red Cross Counselor Baikuntha Behera, National Service Planning Officer Hemal Sa took out from Maha Vijanaryule and toured Silda village to sensitize the villagers about AIDS. Council Speaker Basant Ojha, Professor Baidyanath Garthia and Mamata Patnaik were present as the Chief Guest of Honour. Professor Shiv Prasad delivered the welcome speech while Professor Baikuntha Behera coordinated the programme. Volunteers who achieved success in various competitions organized on the occasion were felicitated. National Service Officer Hemal Sa thanked the guests and volunteers at the end. Lecturers Shukdev Bhil, Gopigopal Suna, Himachal Naik, Prakash Kumar Sahu contributed to the major program.
