Prime Minister Kisan Honorary Fund distribution ceremony was held in Nuapada today at Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment and Agricultural Science Centre, Anukuliya l In this meeting held at the local DPRC, Silda conference room, Nuapada MLA Jaya Raju Bhai Dholakia joined as the chief guest. Vice President Phillip Nirmal Kar took the lead l The meeting started after the lighting of the lamp l Inaugural District Chief Agriculture Officer Pradeep Kumar Naik welcomed the guests and explained the purpose of the ceremony l The program of giving the 21st installment of Kisan Haram Nidhi Yojana by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Coimbatore was shown here through Avasi l Rs. Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo also joined in this l More than 34 lakh farmers of the state will get assistance of over Rs 700 crore today l 84,154 farmers of Nuapada district will also benefit from this scheme l It is to be noted that Pradhanmantri Kisan Haram Nidhi Yojana is a fully central scheme which was launched on 24.02.2019 l Its objective is to increase the income of farmer families. Empowering farmers to mobilize resources to ensure proper crop health and optimal yields. To save the farmers from falling prey to usurers to meet the expenses. All farming families will get it regardless of the size of the land. Farmers must own the land individually or jointly. A farmer can register his name by providing necessary land details. In this scheme, all small and medium farmers are getting Rs. The money goes directly to the bank accounts of the eligible beneficiary farmers. Today’s ceremony was attended by Deputy Director Horticulture Harekrishna Chand Hasda, AD Khadyal Somnath Mahapatre, SDVO, Dr. Kishore Kumar Parida, District Information and Public Relations Officer Vidyapati Panda and all officers of the Agriculture Department. Hundreds of women and men farmers from all blocks of the district participated in this ceremony.
