The district level annual Youth Red Cross Executive Committee meeting has been held in Nuapada District National College premises. It was attended by the headmasters of all graduate colleges and higher secondary schools of the district and youth Red Cross counselors. District Youth Red Cross President and College Principal Prof. Hitesh Kumar Sahu presided over the program, Nuapada District Governor and District Magistrate Mr. Madhu Sudan Das was the chief guest, District Emergency Officer S.K. Nasim, Principal of Khadiayal Model Graduate College, Akshay Kumar Sahu, Prof. Gad Kumar Mishra were present as the chief guests of honour. District Youth Red Cross host-editor Shiv Prasad gave the welcome speech and discussed about this year’s plans and various programs to be held. District Coordinator Ashwini Ota highlighted the various government regulations and services of the Red Cross along with the good use of the Red Cross money collected from the students at both college and higher secondary school levels. The guests advised the counselors to keep the Red Cross branches of their respective educational institutions active this year and to do programs like tree planting, blood donation, cleanliness, construction of new campuses free of plastic. Teacher Baikunth Behera thanked the guests and advisors at the end. Teacher Baidyanath Garh teacher Gopi Gopal Suna, sports teacher Prakash Kumar Sahu, volunteers Labanya Khersel, Vikas Raut, Krishna Jal, Gautam Kumar Sahu, contributed greatly.
