Baripada 26/12.25 (Fast News Odisha) It is reported that two brothers drowned while swimming in Sitakund waterfall in Shimilipal pada area of Shyamakhunta block of Mayurbhanj district today. According to the incident, 4 friends from Dudeipalli area of Bhadrak district came to Sitakund for a picnic this morning. However, while taking a dip in the Sitakund waterfall during the picnic, two people drowned in the water due to the fact that their feet slipped. The deceased were identified as Sativarat Nayak (23) and Abhishek Nayak (17) of Dubeipally village. Both are found to be two brothers from the same family. Abhishek was a science student while Satyabrat was studying MCA. The death of two brothers has cast a shadow of mourning in the local area. However, according to fireman Babudhar Bindhani of the fire department, after reaching the scene, they first rescued the body of one person, but it took more than 3 hours to rescue the other. However, after the rescue, both bodies have been brought to the district head hospital for post-mortem. Baripada Sadar police station also arrived at the scene and are continuing the investigation of the incident. It is known that the body will be handed over to the family members after the autopsy.
