Nuapada: The fourth National People’s Court has been held at District Law Service Authority Nuapada under the chairmanship of Mr. Niranjan Panda, Chairman of the District and Authority. Additional District and Circuit Judge, Newpada Sunil Kumar Das, Additional District and Circuit Judge, Kharia, Pranam Kumar Raut, Senior Civil Judge Suryakant Achaya, Women’s Court Judge Sarojini Sahu, Senior Civil Judge Kharia, Isha Pati, SDJM Santaki Das, JMFC, Komna. Samriddhi Sagarika Barik, JMFC, Khariar Samiksha SA, JMFC, Boden Pallavi Das and various revenue departments participated in 3772 different cases such as family, check bounce, civil, motor accident compensation and revenue cases and settled Rs.3,07,62,000/-. Similarly, with the participation of various banks and electricity departments, 411 bank arrears and electricity tariff payment cases were settled and a sum of Rs. 68,04,960/- was settled. Ms. Nabanita Das, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, conducted the Lok Adalat.
