
Kolabira, 28.2 (Fast News Odisha): Extensive preparations have been made by the Kolabira community in view of the increasing temperature and the danger of forest fire in the summer season. In an awareness program organized at Samasingh on Friday, the Kolabira Sub-Divisional Officer Sudam Jagdala informed about the various measures taken for forest protection and fire prevention. Wildfires not only destroy natural resources, but also destroy wildlife, create air pollution and threaten human settlements. Therefore, the public’s cooperation is sought for its remedy. It is important to be aware of the public to prevent forest fires and fire prevention areas, extensive fire lines have been created and maintained. Additional measures are being taken to protect the plantation area and the planted saplings. In this fire prevention awareness program held at Durgamandap, Samasingha under the authority of Forest Department, Ganjar Sudam Jagvula presided over the event and informed about how to protect the forest from fire and that there are strict rules to punish those who deliberately set fire to the forest. Gosti Veterinary Officer Dr. Sudhanshu Patel, Fire Department Officer, Electrician participated as the chief guest. Odisha Dance Group, Arvind School Dance Group, Rise Up Dance Group Jharsuguda, Royal Dance Group Kolabira students performed the program and gave a message of awareness among the audience. While Tulswar Patel and Chetananda Patel conducted the mancha, members of the Samasingha Pragati Sangha were joined by the conscious citizens and villagers of the area. Forester Ramakant Naik along with other foresters cooperated in the management of the program.
