Malkangiri, 2.2 (SPR): The 4th Banaras Literary Festival jointly organized by the Nava Bharatiya and Construction Society and the Union Ministry of Culture has been held at the Hotel Taj in Banaras. While more than 1,000 contestants from all over the country participated in the event, Malkangari girl D Raj Rajswari Patnaik was selected by the Central Ministry of Culture and represented Odisha. She has been selected for poetry and essay writing competitions in both English and Hindi and is the only poetess in English to win the Bharat Kabi Ratna Award. He was highly praised for his proficiency in both English and Hindi. Due to his interest in literature, he has already brought glory to the district, which has won various awards. Many of the country’s best writers, artists, sportspersons and journalists attended the program as guests. Mainly Padma Bibhushan famous actor Anupam Kher, Padmashri Malini Absti, Padmashri Sheen Khaf Nizam, Lt General Anand Charian, famous journalist Rubia Likayat were prominently present. Renowned poet and lyricist Piyush Mishra’s poetry was the highlight. The program was followed by various competitions such as poetry readings, discussion meetings and book launches. This stage was a new stage for young poets. Ms. Patnaik’s mother, Gopi Krishna and Hemalta, were both journalists, and she studied up to class 10 in Malkangiri district. The accused is a 6th year student of B.Sc. Many of his poems have been published in many magazines and he has received good wishes from various quarters.
