Malkangiri, 5/9/25: Selected for National Teacher Award Tarun Kumar Das, who works at Basant Kumar Rana of Malkangiri District, Kandel Higher Primary School and PM Sri Central School in Koraput District, has been honored with the National Teacher Award today. His Excellency the President of the country conferred this honor in a grand ceremony organized at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. As an award, he was honored with a cash sum of Rs 50,000 and a certificate. His Excellency the President of India, Hon’ble Education Minister of India, Minister of State for Education, Education Secretary of India were also present in the program. On the eve of the awards, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of the country exchanged views with all the teachers and wished them well. The two teachers have been felicitated after the National Teacher Award for their outstanding contribution to the field of education. District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay congratulated this teacher who brought glory to the district and the state on this glorious occasion. Similarly, Malkangari District Education Officer Chittaranjan Manigarahi attended the program in New Delhi and congratulated and wished the teacher.
