
Malkangiri, 25/1/26: Trade and Transport and Mines and Steel Minister Bibhuvi Bhushan held a review meeting with department officials at Jena Circuit House. The Minister of Transport discussed strict monitoring of the transport program of the district, the accident situation etc. l inquired with the district mining officer about the small and large mining areas of the district and ordered regular monitoring. Emphasizing on road safety, the minister directed to create more awareness about accident assistance. The minister has ordered to open more and more authorized pollution centers. Similarly, the regional transport office has been asked to open a help desk and employ an officer for public assistance. OSRTC officials have also been asked to rerouting all lanes. The Minister directed to propose setting up of IMS (Incident Management Service) on the road from Gobindpali to Motu to catch illegal motorists in the district. Similarly, the Minister asked whether the OSRTC depot has all the related facilities. It has also been directed to make all arrangements of better quality for the Malkangari city bus stand. The district administration has been asked to form an enforcement team comprising Tahsildar, mining officer and officers in charge of pollution control to carry out regular monitoring in the mining sector. Similarly, no one can sell sand at a price higher than the new MSP, said the minister. The minister directed all the officials to work together effectively. The district magistrate said that the departmental officials will take all the instructions of the minister seriously and take action. District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay welcomed everyone in the meeting. Among others present were Malkangari District Commissioner Narsingh Madkami, Chittagong MLA Mangu Khil, Additional District Collector Rajsab Vedbar Pradhan and Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Dasharthi Sarabu. All the officials of the Department of Transport and Mines were also present.
