In this context, the public welfare schemes to be taken forward for the overall development of the city, such as proper drainage system for rainwater drainage, drinking water supply and good sanitation, construction of ring road, planting of sufficient number of trees to free the city from heat and construction of barrage to conserve water of Bubabalang river, construction of multi-purpose market complex/hut complex, crematorium. The minister informed about construction, construction of modern bus stand, construction of flyover for smooth movement of vehicles, construction of new collectorate house, relocation of Mandal Jail, improvement of Sreejagannath temple and other temples of the city, improvement of heritage, improvement of park and library, clearing of slums in the city, construction of cow shed etc.
