A block-level science fair has been held at Gram Vikas Shikshan Niketan under Gopalpur Panchayat under Thuamul Rampur block of Kalahandi district. The Science Fair was organized by the Department of Scheduled Tribes and Caste Development on 25th. Mr. Dharwacharan Muduli, Group Development Officer, Thuamul Rampur participated in it as the chief guest. Group Education Officer Tapimani Jani presided over the fair as the guest of honor of ABEO Hemant Panda, Gram Vikas Shikshan Niketan Chairman Arvind Swain, Shirimska Higher Secondary School Chairman Bairagi Charan Naik, Nodal High School Principal Kattivas Naik, Principal Gram Vikas Shikshan Niketan Ramchandra Naik, Nodal CRC Sunadhar Majhi, Kaniguma CRC Hemant Lohar, Shirimska CRC Mukund Bagh were the major manchasin. Students from 45 schools of the block participated in it. Manchasin’s guests in his speech made students interested in science and highlighted how science has become indispensable in human’s daily life. Among the projects prepared by the students, the “Energy Conservation Project” presented by T. Majesh Ranjan Naik and Rahul Naik of the 8th class of Village Development Education Niketan grabbed the attention of the guests by winning the first place. Similarly, “Toxic Carbon Free Air” project presented by Jitu Naik and Akash Naik of Bad Chatarang of Grade High School came second and “Save Energy” project of Govardhan Suna and Dinesh Naik, students of Village Development Education Niketan won third place and was praised by the guests and deemed worthy to participate in the district competition. Principal Rashmiranjan Patnaik of Audrey High School and Sukant Gaud, teacher of UP School, Sindhipadar conducted the stage and all the teachers and students of the school participated actively. In the end, the Principal of Thuamul Rampur Nodal High School, Kativas Naik, thanked everyone.
