Malkangiri, 12/9/25: A two-day disaster management and capacity building training program for the Panchayat Executive Officers (PIOs) of Kalimela, Mathil and Korkunda Blocks has been organized at the District Panchayat Center by the District Emergency Department in collaboration with Odisha State Disaster Management Authority. Here, disaster management preparedness training is provided at the grass root level. The training camp has been held under the chairmanship of Additional District Collector Rajswa Vedbar Pradhan. The trainers of Matishan Voluntary Organization have trained the PIOs of all the blocks. The camp discussed disaster management and the knowledge required for it. Among others, district emergency officials were present. Emergency Department Senior Revenue Assistant Kuna Nayak assisted in organizing the camp.
