Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): The 13th Virateshwar Cricket Tournament, which has been going on for 5 days, has been started in Landagaon, Baliguda Block, Kandhamal District. In the final match held between Karnibeda and Manmunda team, Manmunda team defeated Karnibeda by 114 runs and won the title of this year’s champion. Kandhamal District BJP President Pandit Kumar Bishimajhi as Chief Guest, MP Representative Ranjit Kumar Sahu as Guest of Honour, District BJP Editor Devendra Kude, Former District BJP President Jagannath Sahu, Boudh District Khatpada Zone District Council Member Mrs. Sumitra Sahu, Boudh District Teacher Leader Nilakhal Bhoi, City MP Representative Adikand Patnaik, Local Sarpanch Mrs. Situ Jhankar, Samiti Samari Hem Sagar Majhi, Khamanmunda Sarpanch Ms. Alka was present and encouraged the players. In the awarding ceremony, all the guests awarded the winning team with a trophy and prize money of 50 thousand, the runner-up with a trophy of 30 thousand and the Man of the Series Leelu Behera of Titilagarh team and the Man of the Match winner of Manmunda team Bishnu Naik were given trophies. Rabindra Kude, Baikuntha Naik, Mahendra Bagh and Sanju Rana managed the 5-day game while all the committee members including Nakula Bagh, Prashant Behera, Sanjib Kumar Kude and Ravindra Kude participated in the management.
