The honey season has arrived in Rampur area of Kalahandi district. With the blossoming of flowers in the forest area, the beekeepers have gone to the forest and are busy collecting bee flowers. This bee flower is the main source of livelihood for the poor people here. Honey beekeepers are being exploited because the traders are buying bees at Rs 15 to 20 per kg. On the other hand, since the government has not made any special provision for these beekeepers in the Rampur area, traders are willingly buying honey from the beekeepers.
