Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch, Bhubaneswar has joined hands in the Government’s Tuberculosis Free India campaign. Baripada:- With the financial support of Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch, Bhubaneswar, Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, Mayurbhanj has launched a nutrition packet distribution program to the TB patients undergoing treatment in various blocks of the district. On this occasion, on January 29, 2026, at the conference room of the district head hospital, Baripada, District Governor and Chairman of the District Red Cross, Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, Mayurbhanj, on the instructions of the District Emergency Officer and Red Cross Editor Mrs. Shraddha Suman, Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch Mayurbhanj presided over the program. Secretary Ganesh Chandra Bhat attended as the chief guest and opened the program auspiciously. The main speaker was Dr. Kishore Chandra Acharya, District Chief Medical Officer, Baripada, Assistant District Medical Officer (Tuberculosis), District Chief Hospital, Md. Narul Hussain Mayurbhanj, Associate Editor, State Red Cross, Ashok Kumar Mohanty, Indian Red Cross Organization, Odisha State Branch, Bhubaneswar and Senior Member Ranjan Kumar attended as Chief Guest. District Junior Red Cross Officer Smriti Ranjan Manuri, Mayurbhanj presided over the meeting while TB Program Coordinator Dinakrish Barik gave vote of thanks. In the largest district of Odisha, Mr. Dina Krishna Barik’s beautiful monitoring work has been praised in various quarters for the success in the treatment of TB patients in this district due to his discipline and determination. The chief guest distributed nutrition packets to TB patients from different areas. All the staff of Tuberculosis Department participated in this program while the staff of District Emergency Department were present. According to Indian Red Cross, distribution of nutritional packets to TB patients will benefit 2,238 TB patients in 26 blocks of Mayurbhanj district and later more and more TB patients will also be involved. State Secretary, Indian Red Cross, Odisha State Branch, Mr. Manoj Kumar, Senior Assistant, Emergency Department, Manoj Kumar Mangraj, Shalvi Mahanath, Rabindra, informed. Nath Das, Chinmay Das of TB Department, Indira Priyadarshi, Anang Dev Barik, Satyabrat Mishra, Manoranjan Mohapatra contributed to the major program.
