
Baripada 11/01 : A two-day national conference has been inaugurated by the Department of Chemistry of Maharaja Sriramchandra Bhanjdeo University at Maharaja Sriramchandra Bhanjdeo University. On the first day of the opening ceremony, Prof. Nigmanand Das, Emeritus Scientist of CSRI, University of Uttar Pradesh, attended the meeting presided over by the Chancellor of the University, Prof. Pramod Kumar Shetpathi, and gave a summary speech on the progress of chemistry in the current situation. In this seminar titled “Chemistry and Balanced Environment”, Professor Trilochan Mishra, Chief Scientist, CSIR NMS, Jamshedpur, participated as the guest of honor and spoke on how chemistry can be used in balancing the environment. Prof. Hirendra Nath Ghosh, Director, NIGER, Bhubaneswar, who was the keynote speaker of the seminar, gave a thorough discussion on Ultrafast Spectroscopy in Chemistry. Professor Rajesh Kumar Singh, the convenor of the seminar, delivered the welcome address. Associate Professor of the Department Dr. Lingaraj Behera gave details of the program while Assistant Professor of the Department Dr. Amar Kumar Dora introduced the guests. Prof. Indrajit Naik, Nodal Officer of PM USA Program of the University, gave a speech regarding the promotion of research and seminars in the government system. The Chairman of the Graduate Council of the University Prof. Kamallochan Barik spoke about the progress of the University in the field of Chemistry. Departmental Assistant Professor Dr. Ashish Kumar Jena proposed vote of thanks. Professor Sumita Roy of Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, Dr. Nimayu Mishra, Associate Professor of ICT, Bhubaneswar, Dr. Maley Kumar Rana, Head of Department, Berhampur IZR, Prof. Chandra Mishra, Fakirmohan Prakash University, Dr. Anchan Kumar Bez, Prof. Tabrej Khan, IIT Bhubaneswar, Prof. Priyobrat, Bhubaneswar were the panellists in this two-day conference. Mohapatra participated and discussed. The chief guest released the program booklet of the conference. In this conference, seven researchers presented oral papers and eight researchers participated through poster presentations. Departmental faculty of affiliated colleges and students participated in the conference. All the guests were felicitated with Northiya and Upadhaukkan. The program was started with the university music and on the first evening, a cultural program was performed under the supervision of Researcher Eskarani Mishra. On the second day, the program was inaugurated with the song ‘Bande Utkal Janni’. Bhavani Shankar Mahanth, Chinmay Behera, Harishankar Behera, Neelima Tripathi, Rika Panda, Ganeshwar Mukhi contributed to the program.
