Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 13.02.2026 Rikh: Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi visited Nabarangpur district and launched the new scheme of the state government “Shri Jagannath Darshan Yojana” in Nabarangpur district, which will have 100 MBBS seats and 420 beds. The Chief Minister joined the meeting held at the local new market ground in Hirli as the chief guest and inaugurated various departmental improvement projects at a cost of 446 crore 26 lakh rupees in Nabarangpur district. Along with the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Pamagi Parida, School and Public Education Minister Nityanand Gond, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Lok Sabha MP Balabhadra Majhi, Rajya Sabha MP Mujibulla Shaw, Dabu Village MLA Manohar Ranhari, Nabarangpur MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi, Jhari Village MLA Narsingh Bhatra, Malkangiri MLA Narsingh. The new scheme “Shri Jagannath Darshan Yojana” can include senior citizens between the age of 60 to 75 years and all widowed women between the age of 75. If the new government Vesaj College is established, the people of Nabarangpur district and nearby districts will be able to get high quality health services! He said that the state government’s approach to all-round development of Nabarangpur district is clear! Deputy Chief Minister Phamagi Parida said in his speech that the pilgrims included in the Sri Jagannath Darshan Yojana will have a great opportunity for the government to see and experience the spiritual life of Sri Jagannath! The Minister of School and Public Education and the Minister of Health and Family Welfare in their speech, the state government has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the public by setting up Vesaj College. He said that the state government is always trying for the overall development of the district! Lok Sabha MP, Rajya Sabha MP, Nabarangpur MLA and Jhari village MLA thanked the Chief Minister for setting up the new Vesaj College! On this occasion, the Chief Minister has launched 177 development projects for Nabarangpur district at a cost of 446 crore 26 lakh rupees! It includes the opening of 112 projects worth 68 crores and 65 projects worth 378 crores! There are projects such as education, health, roads, bridges, hostels, government houses, forest protection, anganwadi etc. Kits to 5 pilgrims included in Chief Minister Shri Jagannath’s scheme, 7,27,400 rupees to 6 beneficiaries included in construction workers welfare scheme, 2,53,500 rupees to 4 beneficiaries in social security scheme! The Chief Minister flagged off 4 buses carrying 148 pilgrims and 12 nodal officials to the shrine Puri! In addition to Nabarangpur Vesaj College, there are many departmental projects such as Mandei Field Improvement, Bypass Road, Indrawati Bridge, New Office of the District Collector, Office of the Chief District Medical Officer, Dodrapara Bridge!
