
Baripada on 2/12 (Fast News Odisha) On the occasion of World AIDS Day, a huge AIDS awareness program has been held by Mayurbhanj Action and Research Group (MARG) and Chaitanya Prasad Higher Secondary School in Kendua in accordance with the national service plan. Students were made aware of the causes, symptoms and diagnosis of AIDS in this program organized in the school premises. Dr. Asammitra Patnaik, Coordinator of Shyamakhunta Agricultural Science Center, Additional Group Development Officer of Shyamakhunta Block, Ajay Kumar Behuri, Additional District Medical Officer Shantanu Das, Senior Journalist Deepak Kumar Naik attended the program under the patronage of the school chairman, Mr. Deepak Kumar Naik, who said that awareness is the key weapon to eradicate deadly diseases like AIDS from the society. Thirteen major voluntary organizations of Mayurbhanj VAD, Bukhara, Seva, Securi, Sampa, Sangam, Sambandha, Samabhuthi, Nebodaya, MBJ Foundation, Ford, Galya and other leading organizations jointly organized the event. On this occasion, a school-level speech and dance competition was held among the students. At the end, the founder member of Marg Institute, Bolon Kumar Sahu, gave vote of thanks. Faculty members Ashok Kumar Dutt, Gobind Singh, Rajesh Kumar Das, Namita Mohanty, Chandan Kumar Das, Pradeept Kishore Samal, Satyajit Mishra and NSS volunteers assisted in conducting the programme.
